How to Commit Marriage
The best "bad" movie ever

Bob Hope, Jackie Gleason, Jane Wyman . . . and a monkey And Leslie Nielsen, by the way. Not to mention a stereotype of an Eastern guru, and a swipe at 1960s youth culture, including rock bands Postnasal Drip, The Frozen Fishschticks, and of course The Comfortable Chair who sound pretty good, actually.
This isn't great movie-making, but that's why it's so great. Bob Hope gets to do his comic magic, Gleason is as Gleason as ever, and the whole story actually holds together quite nicely. But don't get me wrong: this is not Academy Award material. And thank goodness it isn't.
Maybe it was meant for the parents of 1969 while the kids were at Woodstock, but I like the pace, the perspective - Bob and Jane, having a drink, sitting in their easy chairs comfortable, no doubt listening to "Dream When You're Feeling Blue." It was out of style in the 1960s, but now we can enjoy it for what it is.
And some if it is mighty zany. Hope does a few costume changes, plays golf with an ape, while Gleason is downright decadent: broads, booze and bread a.k.a lettuce. But there's a nice moral as well involving their kids, which I'll leave for you to decide.
So if you're too young to know much about the whole generational gap - and war - of the 1960s, enjoy this at times goofy and at other times comfy comic from the master himself, Bob Hope. And if you hate it - well, there's always "My Favorite Blonde" and "The Lemon Drop Kid" from an era when movies could be both great and fun.

Blade Runner (The Director's Cut)
Undeniably one of the best ever...

Tons, tons, and TONS of subtext here. True and pure cinematic art. Having read the book although loosely translated will help understanding. As for the director's cut: it is AMAZING how a simple, 15-second shot of a unicorn can change ... well, everything. When you watch this, ask, "Is Deckard a replicant"
Also keep in mind: The movie, like the book, is not about a guy who runs around killing Replicants. It is about what it is to be human.
The only reason I can think that this did not do well at the box office is because it is very 'heady.' Drop 2 or 3 stars if you do not like to think.

Not Another Teen Movie
as funny as Scary Movie or Austin Powers' trilogies

all of the nasty jokes reminded me when i was in high school '90s because we used to do jokes as nasty and as gross, even the teachers were into it torrent. now i'm in university and this is a good movie that will remind you of the good ol' high school time.
if you find nasty gross jokes offensive, then your a freakin "Ned Flanders"..

Spirit - Stallion of the Cimarron (Full Screen Edition)
So Breathtaking Your Spirit Will Be On A Journey

This is truly one of the best movies I have ever seen I highly recommend this for a child of any age. I hope Dreamworks continues to produce movies like this one. Children should be children and not fed a daily diet of violence and innuendo. This DVD is wonderful The animation is breathtaking; stunningly beautiful.A must have for your collection

The Insider
Great Film- Deserved More Credit Than It Received...

This film, based on the true story of the Big-Tobacco whistleblower, is excellent emule. At the same time that it accurately portrays the key players of the story, it also creates a great cinematic atmosphere. Also, it gives a great view into how the power system of our country really works- its not all governed by "fair play". No longer can the different parties involved make claims and hide behind innacurate facts- this movie impartially tells it all, from the character smear attempts and the death threats by the Tobacco companies, to the hypocritical producers of 60 Minutes.
The performances in this film are also great- as Jeffrey Wigand, Russell Crowe does excellently, a truly realistic portrayal of "The Insider". Al Pacino's performance as Lowell Bergman a 60 minutes producer is also believable, and he really develops his character well. None of the acting is superficial- it all conveys very well exactly who the characters were, how they felt.
This movie is right up there with the other great films to appear recently, such as "American Beauty" and "The Green Mile". Everyone should see this great film- it'll change the way you think about our nation's system forever..

Armageddon
An excellent movie

The acting was great in this movie. It truly is a must see. And for those of you out there who liked "Deep Impact" better, I say you didn't understand "Armageddon". There was very little feeling in "Deep Impact". Armageddon had a great love story woven into the main plot, which was very well done. 5 Star movie in my book Get it and watch it

The Architecture of Doom
A crystal clear perspectiveof Hitler's primary motives.

This would be the ideal "package" for anyone who is interested in what Hitler's motives were ed2k. A totalitarian who used glorious nostalgia to express his ideas to the people of Germany in the 1940's.
This movie is the best documentary on the Third Reich. The director does not take a biased view but rather takes a blatant approach to describing Hitlers frightening plans to create a fantasy like German nation.
The movie is perfect for college courses..

The best of Cosmo Tango (2001-2002)
All stars

The amazing dancers in this video are all stars in the universe of argentine tango. Granted, this universe is not well known to the public at large, but once you see them dance, you'll be transformed forever. Good thing it's a DVD, because you will be rewinding and watching certain performances over and over again. Can't wait for the 2003 edition.

The Emperor's New Groove (Disney Collector's Edition)
good stuff

This too is a movie that can be appreciated by both children and adults the moral content high, its totally hilarous, and its lesson is obvious "act like and ass and you might become one". Good stuff

Dead Man
Unique Movie - It's Great

I want to give this film one more very positive review. I loved it. I rarely watch movies more than once but this one I paid to see twice at a theater. I have since bought the video and have watched it several more times.

Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead
"The Dishes Are Done"

I saw this movie on tv one night when I was about 10, I then remembered the movie when I was about 14 and for about 5 years I have been renting it from my video store. I wanted it so bad on dvd I sent E-mails to hbo and hear it is. This is one of the most funny, enjoyable movies I have ever seen. So Just by it man It Is AWSOME

Sweet Valley High - The Complete First Season
Just as I remembered

I have devored many of books in the various Sweet Valley series, and watched this show wayyyy back in 1994. I happened to stumble across this set and got it right away. There are no extras, but the great episodes are enough to keep me satisfied. The show definitely has a 90's vibe, but the nostalgia is part of what makes it so great. If you used to read the books or watched this show growing up, then get it right away

Backstreet Boys - All Access
EXCELLENT

If you're a dedicated fan to the BSB like I am, then I know you're gonna love this Great interviews, videos, behind the scenes....what more could you possibly want The boys themselves..... I know, so do I.....but you don't see Kevin sitting beside me : END

Charmed - The Complete First Season
Fall under the spell of Season One

Having missed Shannen Doherty on TV since her departure from 90210 many seasons ago, I was thrilled that she came back to doing weekly series...albeit as a witch which I am certain must have produced many tittering in-jokes among the scripting department.

Fusing Charlies Angels with Wicca traditions and a healthy dose of Bust-era feminist theory, Charmed was a big hit for the WB. This first season proves why the early years of this series really rocked.

Three sisters who live together in a cool San Fransisco victorian mansion discover their lost legacy as the 'Charmed Ones' on a stormy night. The Charmed Ones are dispatched to save innocents and fight the various legions of evil.

They must accomplish their missions while avoiding the scrutiny of childhood friend San Fransisco Police Department Inspector Andy Trudeau who is deliciously played by the hunky TW King. He only knows that 'weird stuff' happens whenever Prue andor her sisters are around.

I had also vaugely remembered Alyssa Millano from her role in "Who is the Boss", but had never heard of Holly Marie Combs prior to this time. I was pleasantly suprised however, and can verify that she is my perpetual second favirote sister. Prue Doherty is supposed to be the eldest, but Piper Combs really acts as the stablizing maternal force for the group.

My favirote episodes in this 22-episode season 1998-1999 are "Something wicca this way comes" which explains how three sisters become the charmed ones after Phoebe discovers the book of shadows upon a return to her childhood home.

In "Thank you for not morphing" Brian Krause begins his role as Leo Wyatt, the handyman with a secret of his own, he is the charmed ones's whitelighter.

"That 70's episode" explains why the girls had only reccently gotten their powers back and did not remember having them as children, Finola Hughes also begins her role as the girls mother Patty Halliwell and Jennifer Rhodes who plays Penny "Grams" Haliwell made her debut in "Is there a woogy in the house".

On top of everything else, this series has a really rad theme song reprised from it's original usage in "The Craft" by Love Spit Love called "How Soon is Now". Sounding sinister in the context of that big screen release, that same music and lyrics now sound mysterious and powerful without being threatining. The Haliwell sisters are assertive and strong young women, but not evil or sadistic.

I am not bothered by the lack of extras for this season release because this was the show at it's peak. Seeing this first season is an enchanting experience in it's own right.
